Greater Manchester Police are currently excavating a site where an informant allegedly found a jaw bone or skull on Sept 29th 2022.
Due to the site’s location, thoughts are that this could be the burial site of Keith Bennett – the final missing child of the Moors Murders.
However, as of 15:00 today (01/10/22), Greater Manchester Police have released the following statement:
This information included photographs of the site and show what experts working with the informant have interpreted as a human jaw bone. No physical evidence of a jaw bone or skull has been examined… We have not found any identifiable human remains but our work to excavate the site is continuing.
