A Bang – Poem

A bang
And I’m scared.
And you’re sat there,
Questioning me.
Making me feel inferior
Because I’m sensitive to noise.
When in reality
I’m superior.

I know my limits
And push beyond them.
You’ve never reached yours
Because you’ve never pushed
Hard enough.

So, as I tremble
And catch up reality,
I’ll let you sit smug.
You’re the one
Who has panic attacks
For the slightest thing
Because you’re not used
To being pushed.

So while I get frightened
By loud noises
And you suggest that
I shouldn’t wear earphones as often,
I’ll suggest you learn every map
Known to man.
So you don’t panic
When you take a wrong turn.
So you’re not afraid
Of getting lost.

Sounds impossible,
Does it not?
Pathetic is how it sounds,
And that’s why your suggestion
Is as pathetic as you.
