Illegal to be Queer – Trans Kids to be Removed from Supportive Families

It’s happened. I wish this was a dystopian fiction, but it’s not.

Florida has officially made it illegal to be Queer.

DeSantis has signed a law[1] that permits the state to take custody of children accused of receiving gender-affirming care.

Any child, who is accused of or is receiving gender-affirming care, can be removed from the custody of their family and placed into child protective services. The bill also allows for custody laws from other states to be modified if they believe the family and child will try to flee the state.

And it doesn’t stop there.

Trans kids in Florida are being forced to detransition as it’s now illegal to provide gender-affirming care [2] of any kind.

Unfortunately, bills against Trans Care are also affecting adults in the state – causing many to no longer be able to access their gender-affirming care. Telehealth has also been banned, meaning they cannot access other states’ facilities.

Is that enough? Apparently not.

DeSantis has also signed a bill which expands the Don’t Say Gay Bill from last year. The expansion bans LGBTQ literature, as well as social transitioning, for anyone under 18. And another that prohibits LGBTQ discussions and forces schools to our children to their parents. [3][4]

HB1521[5], yet another law signed in to dehumanise trans people of all ages, will allow anyone to be charged with criminal trespassing for using a restroom that doesn’t appear to be that of their assigned gender at birth.

Trans people and cis people (effeminate men or masculine women) will be subjected to genital screenings and DNA testing to confirm the sex assigned at birth to validate their use of the restroom they were caught using.

If they’re proven to be using the wrong bathroom, they could be sentenced to up to a year in jail.

Florida, and the United States in general, is gearing up for a new genocide, while literal Neo-Nazis line the streets of Florida chanting White Power…[6]

This is a reminder that the holocaust was legal, slavery was legal, and most other atrocities committed by our species have been made legal prior to them happening…

We might already be too late to stop this one, but millions will be killed if we don’t try.
