It’s time for some Horror Art.
I have selected several horror prompts and created fiction and art for each.
This Week’s Horror Prompt:
The Child’s Demon

Explanation Time:
Since I learned Edward Gorey in 2012, I’ve adored his work. His artwork greatly influenced how I used to draw before my illness took over, and I decided to return to it.
This scene is based on the idea of a demon being assigned to a child – whether to torment or to mark.
I decided to use blue for the eyes as a contrasting colour to the child’s orange hair, and the red was to keep the horror theme in play.
I added the rain in the background to make the character pop out from the page, but also to fill the empty void.
Overall, I adore how this came out, and this might be my favourite style – it’s rough, a little messy, but still clean.
The accompanying fiction will be released tomorrow.
And that’s it. Stay tuned for more horror and trauma content coming in the remaining days of October!
